This repair plate allows you repair the dash where the headlight switch is on your 84-96 XJ. In the event the stock dash cracks or bust you can use this repair plate to mount to fix that. Uses 2 factory mounting locations as well as 2 you will need to drill (1/16” drill bit roughly). No hardware is provided with this kit. You will need to source your own screws for the left side. You will want to use screws about 1/8” inch diameter or smaller.
Please note: Due to the nature of the design the factory trim piece will now fully pop back on. You will have to trim some of the backing to get it to fully seat. You can see how this was done in the pictures in the listing.
I was able to make this part fit but took major modifications
I was able to make this part fit but took major modifications. I had to trim almost 1:8” off the top edge, remove one tab and trim the tab one the right hand side.
