As the heavy abuse offroad can cause the plastic mounting bracket to fatigue and eventually break.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe clamp style is going to be the better option for the bike that sees more off-road time. The clamps offer a more displaced mount. Not placing stress in one particular area. It also allows the tube to be mounted further in, and tucked behind the factory plastic, making it a little more out of harms way in the event of a drop. Lastly, in the event of a drop, the design, and hose clamps will allow the tube to flex slightly rather than just breaking. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bolt-on style is cut from 1\/8\" aluminum while the clamp style is cut from 11ga steel. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eComes with a DA sanded finish.
